During a PRP treatment, we start with drawing a small amount of your blood. The blood will then be put into a specially designed centrifuge, which will separate the PRP from the rest of your blood and only take a few minutes. Once the PRP has been separated from the rest of your blood, our specialist will take it out of the centrifuge and inject it into your body. Since it is eliminated from your body, there is little to no risk of an adverse reaction.
We commonly treat two conditions with PRP, including joint pain and hair loss. PRP is effective in treating both of these conditions with minimal to no side effects. The procedure is beneficial for joint pain because it decreases inflammation.
